TROY, Mich. – SS Digital Media (SSDM) creative director and partner, Michael J. Taylor II, will provide marketing guidance during a panel discussion on effectively communicating with reunion attendees, and specifically for promoting family and military reunions in Detroit.
The Detroit Family Reunion seminar, sponsored by the Metro Detroit Visitors & Convention Bureau, will be held on Saturday, September 29, from 8:00 am – 12:30 pm at Sound Board at the Motor City Casino, 2901 Grand River Avenue, Detroit 48201. Attendance is free.
Taylor will help attendees understand how to use social media to disseminate information and generate excitement for reunions. In addition, he will discuss available tools, including free platforms, to obtain a domain name, create a microsite, log RSVPs and even sell reunion-branded merchandise.

The average visit duration for a reunion is nearly a week and the economic impact for the City can be considerable, including hotel stays, activities and food and beverage purchases.
