“The Name is Fred G. Sanford.” – Fred Sanford.
When I was a kid I watched a lot of Sanford and Son (starring Red Fox and Demond Wilson). This classic comedy was full of popular one-liners like, “You big dummy,” and “This is the big one…Elizabeth I coming to join ya honey!”
But my favorite line was how Fred would always introduce himself using his middle initial as an acronym for whatever would work to prove support an argument.
The ‘G’ stands for Growth.
If you’re a small business owner, chances are you’ve worked hard to grow your company to a sustaining level. But often times you find it increasingly challenging to have significant growth in your bottom line. This can be extremely frustrating and if not addressed can begin a downward spiral.
The things that launched your business will not always be the things that sustain it and must require a new acronym.
The digital frontier is leveling the playing field and if you’re not equipped to get into the game the outlook looks dismal.
Fred G. Sanford made a living as a junk man but his genius was in finding new ways to make his junk relevant. If your business has stalled, evaluating your digital strategy should be a priority. The financial barrier to entry is considerably smaller than the more traditional methods, allowing you to be in complete control of speaking directly to your audience.
Everyone is growing. The question is, which direction are you growing?
